Chateau de Drancourt, St. Valery-sur-Somme, Picardy, France

The pitches were big and well separated from the neighbours. Each has space for two cars, BBQ , clothes dryer, loungers and table and chairs. The site has kids clubs run byt the UK companies plus the sites own French speaking club. There is also crazy golf, large playing fields, internet café, two bars and three pools (one covered). The restaurant was excellent, although quite pricey, there is also a take-away. Coach trips were arranged to Paris and to EuroDisney in high-season. The nearest town  St Valery is lovely  a harbour with no beach but a great variety of excellent restaurants. The site was clean and well maintained, although we had a mobile home and so didnt use the toilet facilities, I noticed they were cleaned out three or four times a day. The only down side to the camp was that it seems to be used a lot for one-night stop-overs for those travelling south, so the campers are rather transient and it was difficult for the children to make friends.
