Mamas and Papas Aria

Terrible buggy!

Difficult to steer, the wheel fell off after 6 months and not cheap either! I got a Maclaren once my Aria broke and it lasted another 4 years so would recommend that instead.

hate it hate it HATE IT!!! This is by FAR the worst buggy I have ever used!!

Horrible to get up and down (I'm sure there is a knack but I haven't found it). Flimsy, felt like it was going to fall apart and worst of all, an absolute nightmare to steer! I was in Waitrose - completely flat, shiny floor and it wouldn't let me turn corners!!

My wrists are now very painful after only a couple of hours of wrestling with this thing.

Straight onto Freecycle it goes.

To be fair, my LO did seem comfy and he did seem happy so from that side of things fine but for ME.... BAD.

To be fair, I should point out that I got this buggy second hand but the previous owner had hardly used it as it was a second buggy. I have owned a few light buggies and thought this would be ideal as it folded quite small but still had a lot of the features of a bigger buggy.

At first it did seem very good and my ds was very comfortable. But it was very, very flimsy and difficult to steer. Also the mechanism for folding it up frequently got stuck and I remember one particular occasion when it was pouring rain, ds was in his car seat, and I got absolutely soaked trying to fold the thing. A nice man came over with his umbrella to try to help me out but I was so embarrassed that he had to stand there in the rain for so long while I tried to collapse this shoddy product which could not otherwide fit into my boot.

My advice? Get a Maclaren!

I think this buggy is great. bought it when my ds was 6 months, she is now 2 and it's looking a little shabby but still fine and i use it a lot.

positives

i love the fact that the harness is free, you can put clothes on and off once they're already strapped in. snack tray is fantastic. i find it really easy to fold up and down and it fits easily into a small car.

it also has a decent size shopping basket compared to other similar pushchairs.

negatives

it's not as sturdy as some other pushchairs and can be difficult to steer off road but then it's not designed for that - althoughi often use it on tracks etc.
