With the Mumsnet
Book Club already thriving, we thought it about time we started reviewing grown up books and for this category we're looking for books published in the last year or so that are easy reads, something uplifting to take to a sunny beach, or to pick up in a quiet moment at home (should you be lucky enough to have one of those). At some point when we've reached a critical mass we'll be handing out a dazzling literary award to the winning book (watch out Mr Booker) so please add as many reviews as you like and feel free to comment on other folks' choices. As ever, if you have any suggestions for new categories you'd like to see, please send them over to contactus@mumsnet.com.

Agree with the other reviews - this is a fantastic light read and is the book where we get to see that Rupert is human after all...

I agree with both the other reviews - definitely the best Jilly Cooper. Who can't help but fancy Rupert Campbell-Black after reading this?

I agree, the best Jilly Cooper by miles. The masterstroke of making Rupert Campbell-Black vulnerable makes him INFINITELY more attractive and sure to be a good read!

Her best book! A rollicking tale of love, sex, and tv politics starring fiction's best bad boy Rupert Campbell-Black. An enormous cast of characters and a lightning-speed plot make for a fabulous beach or bath read. It's not War and Peace but you can't stop turning the pages!
