Ergo Baby carrier

My wife used this for our 1st and I had a go once she got a bit heavy to carry on my front. we thought its good while there light but as soon as she got above 12 lbs it became really uncomfortable, elbows and knees dig in no matter how much you try and stop it + trying to get it on in the back possition on your own isnt recomened.

verdict is good upto 6 mths then after that it dosent offer much support.

The Ergo is fantastic. It keeps your child close to you on the front and back which eliminates back trouble. I carry my 1 year old everywhere in it and my 3 year old can also hitch a lift when she's tired.

I used this today for the first time with my 8.5 month old. It was a lovely experience. He enjoyed both the back and the front position - being close to his mama! He fell asleep, and slept for much longer than usual whilst I shopped!

In terms of comfort - I found it really great. All the weight sits on the hips, not the shoulders. The straps stay on securely with the horizontal strap.

Yes, it is difficult getting them into the back position. You either have to shuffle them around from front to back, or - as a mother in line at a cafe told me- perfect swinging them up and over your shoulder fireman style. My son giggled when I tried this.

Couldn't live without this! For me its the only carrier that doesn't leave me with a crippled back after carrying my 2 year old. So much easier than a pushchair!

Very comfortable to wear, though getting a younger child into it requires a bit of a knack...does get easier with practice though.

Very light so you are only carrying the weight of the child.
