I don't get on with the sleeping bags that have poppers on the shoulders - my son can kick his way out of them too easily. The ones with zips from top to bottom are best (not bottom to top - he can reach and un-do it).

i got 3 of the large size slumbersacs (up to about age 3 i think they say) and i cannot fault them. i'm using them on my 2nd child now. they have weathered sick, poo etc etc, been washed and tumble dried countless times and they're still doing fine. i got 2 different styles, one is easier to do up (a simple zip that goes from top down) and one that's a bit of a faff (2way zip). but honestly, they're much cheaper that grobags and do just a great a job!

I have slumber sac and a grobag, really like both, definitely wouldn't pay a premium for a gro bag over the slumber sac. my slumbersac is a cotton waffle material and it seems really hard wearing and has washed well.

I wasn't too happy with the Slumbersack. After a few washes it started to look all bobbly and the poppers on the top were just not good. They keep opening and I found my little girl standing in the cot without sleeping back several times. Wouldn't buy them again as they are not that cheap, I rather spend a more and get a good Grobag.

Baby sleeping bags are so useful, you will get lots of use out of them but I have found you need to buy a few so you can wash & rotate them, also a 1 tog is useful for hot nursery's & holidays. I bought a Slumbersac 0-6 months 2.5 tog from TK Max which I found too big for my son until he was about 4 months (even though he was a big baby) as the neck hole seemed huge, but he is now using it (6 months old) and still has plenty of room. It was about £12 so is much cheaper than a grobag, I've found Matalan, H&M & Ikea have the best sleeping bags on a budget and the grobag is best if your feeling flush.
