I have just bought the digital one and it's excellent. I also had the previous analogue one but I much prefer the digital one as there is less interference. It was excellent value for money at £64. The new digital one allows you to use the monitor like a walkie talkie to soothe your baby. The sensor pad sensitivity can be adjusted dependent upon the mattress thickness. All round this is an excellent product and excellent value for money.

THIS MONITOR SAVED MY DAUGHTERS LIFE.

I was sitting in the garden when my daughter was 4 days old, when the monitor alarm went off. when we check my daughter she seemed to be fine. It happened a few times that night! WE THOUGHT IT WAS BROKEN

A few days later I went to the doctors and they told me the monitor was wrong and nothing was wrong with her.

when she was 10 days old the monitor went off again and kept going off when she was asleep. she was rushed to hospital that night as her major organs had failed due to contracting e-coli at the hospital.

If I did not have the monitor I wouldnt have kept on going into her room triggering her to wake up naturally.

she is two now and I have given the monitor to a friend.

It is a scary thought and im sorry to share my story. but it does what it says it is going to do.

IT SAVED HER LIFE.. THANK YOU TOMMEE TIPPEE X THE GIANNELLI FAMILY X X

This is one of the best things we bought for our baby. The reassurance of knowing that an alarm will sound if he stops moving is wonderful - it means that I never have to pop into his room to check on him.

I also like the fact that you can see and hear the rate of his breathing, makes it easy to tell when he's going to sleep or waking up!

We've had two false alarms in since months - once in the Moses basket when we'd put a towel under the mattress as he had a cold and that interfered with the wires. The other time was in the cot when he wriggled off the sensor pad.

Well worth the money, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I had two major problems with this monitor and hated it - I sent it back after a week.

1) I had a lot of signal problems with this monitor; every time anything else in the same room was switched on, eg a toothbrush charger or an electric shaver, the signal would completely drop out. This is indicated by a very loud annoying continual beep and you have to put the two sets next to each other and re-set them. This would be fine if it was once in a while, but the signal would drop out about 5 times a day. When I called the Tommee Tippee helpline, they said it was a common problem.

2) The second major issue was that you can only use non-rechargeable batteries in the parent unit, and they only last 6 hours. So if you want the parent unit in the kitchen for the day rather than the lounge, you are going to have to go out and buy 4 new AAA batteries to put in the unit. The unit does not charge the batteries when you place the parent unit in the stand, so there is no option other than to go through lots of batteries....and the battery compartment was very fiddly to open; you have to use a screwdriver to do it.

I sent these monitors back and instead bought the BT Baby Monitor 150 from Mothercare which are fantastic...I would definitely not buy the Tommee Tippee monitors again, not recommend them.

This was the cheapest sound monitor and sensor mat we could find, however do not be fooled, the quality is brilliant. Prior to buying this product I had been put off buying a sensor mat as people said that they tend to give false alarms. In reality, false alarms are rare, and only occur when my daughter crawls into the corner of her cot! Its so easy to fit in suitcases for holidays etc and we have used it in her moses basket, cotbed and travel cot. It even works under her thick spring cotbed mattress with no problems. I strongly recommend.
