I tried this at a friends house and had a wail of a time playing pairs tennis. Never thought I would be sucked in by a computer game, but I have been!

Extremely exciting and enjoyable game that reall is for all of the family. Wii Bowling is my favourite as it is incredibly realistic. The training mode is also very good to improve your skills.

We don't have a Wii ourselves but some friends brought theirs round as a surprise treat and we had a really super time. Our 3-year-old son absolutely loved it. I think it's great that you can have your own special little character and he/she is 'you' for all your gaming activities. I think it's a great family activity and wonderful for children to learn taking turns, and observation skills. It's so less sedentary than sitting on the couch watching TV! Or just sat at the computer. Our elder son, who has special needs, can be supported in playing too, so it really can be a full family activity, whereas most outdoor sports are impossible for him. We're saving up right now - in the hope that we might just be able to afford one by next Xmas!
