I have only had this game for a short time but am completely addicted. The game consists of puzzle solving experts Professor Layton and his assistant visiting a village after hearing of a puzzle called "The Golden Apple". As they arrive in the village they soon find that to get anywhere they have to solve puzzles (135!!) given to them by the local villagers.

As you solve the puzzles you collect various items (gizmo's, portrait pieces, furniture)to help you on your way. Hidden around the village are lots of hint coins that can be collected and used to help solve tricky puzzles.

The game is definitely for adults or older children as the puzzles can be quite cryptic and require lateral thinking. They are fun puzzles though and fortunately you can skip a puzzle and retry it at a later time if it drives you too crazy!

I haven't finished the game yet, I'm sure I have a good few hours of play time left to go and I'm pretty confident that I won't get bored.
