My wife and I both played it and found it addictive and infuriating. The 9 year old was able to make inroads into it as well.

Just bought the latest one out in the UK (Prof Layton and Pandora's Box). Be careful with this one. On both the comparison site (www.gamescomparison.com) and the selling site (Amazon), it makes no mention that you can end up with a package that says "Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box". Our one came from an Amazon seller who had imported it from Japan or the USA, where it goes by this moniker.

Fantastic.....this game kept me amused for hours. Lots of little twists and turns and great mind benders/puzzles to complete to solve the mystery. I absolutely love this game. Definitely recommend it.

Got this on Sunday - bough 2nd hand off Amazon. It's brilliant and totally addictive. Some of the puzzles are very hard and some fairly straight forward. It's definitely for adults or older kids

As a lot of others have said its extreemly addictive even my technophobe husband is hooked! He's even asking about other games because of it! My 6 year old couldn't manage it and finds all the writing 'boring'! But likes to help with the picture puzzles.. The story is transparent but sweet.. and the lateral thinking puzzles definatly make up for it! LOVED this game
