Tip of the day

Don't get in a panic over Christmas. Keep a box and put a little in it every week - small gifts, wine, nibbles, napkins etc. This way, you'll be more relaxed and less skint in December! keriku

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

My 9 year old DD loves this game, its her favourite and she would play on it for hours if I let her!

This is a really good game but much harder to control than the PC versions. Still easier than the playstation versions though which were nigh impossible!

Nice graphics :)

This is a fab game. You have to wander round the game finding things and doing different tasks for each of the characters you find. Lots of game play.

Quite hard for younger children, but those above 8 quite enjoy it. They can access the basic game, but as they get older can play the game and get involved in more.

Originally DD(7) wasn't too interested and played nintendogs more but have noticed that it keeps her interested over a longer period of time and continually returns to it to make the "Sims" world better. Would recommend and will but another in the series for christmas
