Tip of the day

Don't get in a panic over Christmas. Keep a box and put a little in it every week - small gifts, wine, nibbles, napkins etc. This way, you'll be more relaxed and less skint in December! keriku

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

Very good all round fun, my favourite was the handbells mini game, although there were not enough songs to play but still good fun.

Playing the drums using the wii board is good too.

Good fun for all ages but quite limited for adults once you've played it once or twice.

Kids love it as you can learn to play lots of different instruments and also how to conduct an orchestra. Obviously it does not teach you how to actually play any instruments so can get boring after a while. Overall, good fun.

A really wholesome console game for all the family to enjoy. Teaches an appreciation of rhythm through fun games - handbells, conducting and free jamming sessions.
