I cannot believe anyone would give this place a good review! it was just dreadful, from the moment they gave us a third floor apartment (balcony high enough for 10 month old to crawl under, low enough for 2 year old to jump over). The swimming pool looked fantastic - but was icily, bitterly cold. baby couldn't go in it at all, toddler's lips turned blue within seconds, and I was one big goosepimple. the indoor pool was even colder. The food was truly repellent, the children's food scary in its grey jellifiedness. You think a fruit shoot is bad? try Bonaire kids menu. There were lots of people who thought it was okay just to put on the football top of a more exotic team for dinner. The ghastly reps boomed their microphone 'japes' at top volume all day and all night. The kids club was staffed by hungover dimwits - its music club today kids, lets share one tambourine and a broken maraca. truly truly dismal, not cheap and terribly disappointing and depressing..

Parents loved the "fantastic" kids' club: "our son wanted to go all day every day". The facilities are "excellent" with indoor pool, play area and an outdoor area with lots of toys, paddling pool and whirly slide. Staff are "lovely" and adult food "good" and though the children's food isn't that healthy "at least they had crayons in the restaurant so the adults could finish dinner in peace". The resort is "nothing special" but "the hotel is so geared up for kids that most of them don't want to leave the complex anyway!" Overall: "we'd definitely go again".

We love this place and have been back three years running and often bump into the same people, which is an accolade in itself. There are kids' entertainers available at every hour of the day and evening to keep the children happy and busy. The freeform swimming pool is vast, very interesting and never feels crowded and has an area for very young children and babies. Parents can totally relax here - we tend to find a spot away from the pool area in the gardens behind the apartment blocks for a total chillout zone as our children are old enough to go off on their own around the complex. And best of all you are only a stone's throw from the beautiful harbour of Cala Bona with its many family friendly restaurants. Can't wait to go back next year!
