Nicknamed an "upmarket centerparcs" by one reviewer: "it's as geared up for children as adults with baby dancing at night, fabulous food and footy matches with Vinny Jones/Ainsley Harriot". The beaches and pools are lovely, but chilly in late season. Most loved the kids' club with "reliable, conscientious nannies" but some warned "the staff speak broken English" and "the toddler area is not well shaded". Accommodation is "not as luxe as the cost suggests" but the facilities are "fab". It's "hugely expensive" but "the conclusion seemed to be: "it's worth it, we'll go again, as soon as we can afford it!" NB Mumsnet top tip: "It's great to hire bikes, but book early as they get booked up" and "don't bother hiring a car, the surrounding area is pretty dull and ugly".

I loved this place. It combined the luxury of a grown up holiday with fantastic childcare. I am normally a little wary of using nannies and childcare abroad but not in this case. Although few of the staff spoke great English their willingness to help and the care they took with my children more than made up for it. The only drawback is the cost which can spiral out of control all too easily. Our Albanian babysitter in the evenings was a delight and taught the children a smattering of about 5 languages. If I ever have enough money to go again I would leap at the chance. Biggest drawbacks ... the English football team and WAGS staying which I gather they do fairly regularly and the incredibly chic Italians, from Rome and Milan, who were very much in evidence and who make you feel that you need to be in full war paint and Pucci or Prada round the clock.
