It was queue city for everything! I just wanted to warn members not to go for the Easter Weekend as we did. It was just too packed and we had to wait ages for meals, rides, buses, checking in etc.

We did not even bother with the theme parks in the afternoon because more and more people were flooding in, there seemed to be no capacity limit.

I went by Eurostar with my daughter and it was the most memorable and magical time ever! Eurostar was fantastic and took us straight to Marne Le Vallee station, right outside disneyland.

As we were staying in a Disney Hotel, Sequioa Lodge we were able to leave our bags at the station and they were taken to the hotel for us, so our holiday really did begin straight away.

We spent the first afternoon exploring Disney village and had a really nice lunch at Cafe Mickey, suddenly music started playing and several characters appeared with waiters dancing on the tables! The look on my daughters face made my year.

Sequoia Lodge Hotel was really cosy and had a great atmosphere and the swimming pool was pure luxury. Food in the hotel restaurant was fantastic quality, a huge buffet of many different cuisines. Hotel staff were really friendly and always willing to help. We'd often be in the hotel and Pluto or Goofy would be walking around or running past us this was magical for my daughter.

I couldn't recommend this holiday enough, yes it can get pricey but you can avoid it by having sandwiches instead.

As a single mum with a 3 year old I had no problems at all and easily managed on my own. Express check in makes it worth staying in a Disney hotel, your luggage is taken back to the eurostar from the hotel for you, so you don't have to worry about it, meaning you are free to enjoy as much time in the park as possible before leaving

I read several bad reviews about this (and to be fair all other) hotels in DLRP and was dreading the dated, faded, grumpy stay I had paid a fortune for - but turned out that all the hotels at Disney, including this one are massive. The rooms were bigger than I had thought, having two double beds and still some room to manoeuvre! We got a free upgrade to a Montana room with a partial lake view. The room and bathroom were very clean and well kept, and I would say the same for all the public areas in the hotel. The staff were ok, concierge staff a tad brusque, but hey ho, maybe they didn't like my attempts at French. The maid service was efficient and they were even nice when I had to strip the bed after dd did a midnight vomit!

Breakfast was bustling but plentiful and the restaurants were comfortable enough, although we did not have dinner there. The redwood bar is lovely to put your feet up and have a drink and they don't even mind a load of brats running round wailing! One waitress was extra nice and went out of her way to get some scissors to help ds open his lightning McQueen toy!

As extras, there is a games room with arcade things and rides for the littlies, two characters do a meet n greet every morning at breakfast time which thrilled my two to bits! The pool is good, but no shallow end so bring your water wings! The pool staff were also great, and gave colouring sheets and crayons and balloons to the dc.

I am now of the mindset that DLRP holidays are extortionate (but hey, you can't put a price on Mickey Mouse!) but if you are going to go, I think the Sequoia is worth paying a few extra quid for, especially if you will use the pool. The theming is great and the location is wonderful. The walk around Lake Disney was great and we didn't take the free shuttle bus at any point during our stay. We went in Feb half term - so not scarily busy.
