cheap and cheerful and green too (if you dont use a tumbledrier!) easy to use with nappy nippers (no pins) and very reliable if you get a good wrap to go with your piles of terries (motherease rikki wraps have been brillant). quicker to dry than pre-shaped reusables. a bit of a struggle to get on when your tot is on the move.

They are less complicated to use than people think and with the right wrap over them and pad folded they are as easy as any other nappy and dry alot quicker as it is only one layer. They last at least two children and are very absorbent if you buy good quality e.g from Nappylady

My kids are 5 and 3, and there werent so many spaped nappies on the market then, and I really couldnt affort what were. I found them easy as an old midwife showed me a pinless nappy which was great. washing didnt bother me and at least i never ran out. They potty trained really well too, i think it was because they learned quicker when they were wet, not like in desposables where they seem happy to lie in mess all day. They are still in great condition and washed really well, so i use them as dirty cloths for cleaning, but i could of used them on half a douzen more kids. The best thing was that unlike shaped nappies which you have to buy in sizes, these lasted from birth until potty trained, which ment 3 years per child, 6 years in total for £100. Great value if you dont mind the work, and better for the enviroment.

Definately the cheapest and most cost efficient reusable. If looked after they'll last for more than one child and no need to buy bigger ones as the baby grows.
