i chose these nappies as they were available in our local supermarket (waitrose) and we love them. They are super soft, especially if you use tumble drier, and don't leak. Need changing more often than disposables as baby but this can only be a good thing for baby's bottom. Also baby can feel wetness sooner which I hope will help when it comes to toilet training. No nappy rash (only once when we used disposables for a day). easy to wash and dry. Look cute...give that big bottomed baby look. Need to use a larger size of sleep suit and vests to fasten comfortably over the nappy. One size fits all..and it really does thanks to the clever popper system.

These nappies might last a long timee, but they don't work very well. They don't fit from birth as they are far too big and unreliable for a newborn. It could be three or four months until they fit, what are you supposed to do for this time - buy nappies that actually fit.

The fit when the baby is in between the small poppers and the larger poppers is hopeless too, with gaping legs.

I have friends that found these didn't last until her baby potty trained at 2.5, and she had to buy toddler nappies. I think it would be better to stick to sized nappies - why compromise on fit and waste money on nappies that don't do what they are supposed to?

I've tried quite a few systems, but I always come back to Motherease. I would have used Motherease exclusively, but was given some from another system, so I could not justify buying more. They are a bit bulky for the first few months and I do tend to use prefolds instead. Once the baby is big enough, then they really come into their own and grow with the baby.

They have poppers which I think makes it quicker to put on. If like me, you have a baby who would rather be exploring the world rather than lying on her back having her nappy changed, then it is quick to snap the poppers in the same order and you know it will not slip off. With velcro this can be more hit and miss. Also with velcro, they can come out of the wash, stuck together in one big bundle.

They are well made. I'm using them for my second daughter and they look as good as new. There is no fraying, snagging and very little wear. The poppers are secure and are showing no weakening.

They are quick to dry, compared to some of the thicker nappies. OK, the thicker ones absorb more, but if you use the boosters, you can vary absorbancy, but have shorter drying time as the layers separate.

I've had no problems with the baby removing the nappy unlike some of the velcro versions I've used. I think the creaking of the velcro draws their attention.

I use fleece lining and the Motherease wraps. I've had no problem with nappy rash and potty training was done in a week with the first daughter. My child-minder had concerns at first about reusable nappies, but even she admits that they are easy to use.

They are pricey, but they do wear well, so if you do want to try them, look at the second hand market.
