I brought this for DS when he was desperate to sit + couldn't support himself = lots of frustration & I was fed up with being a human bumbo. We have had it for about 8 weeks and he still uses it every day.
As we live in the world's smallest flat it lives under the dining table and comes out as a mini high chair. It works very well as he is comfortable so able to concentrate on eating.
I have also been able to sling it in an old cotton bag and hang it off the suitcase when we jump on a train to go off to visit family (on a side note it was also quite useful for containing small toys at night so they weren't scattered everywhere).
The only down side is with babies that are still quite small (therefore have short arms). As it raises him up a little from the ground - if they drop toys it can be difficult for them to reach again.

This chair was useful for my girls but only for a very short period of time - 2 months max. As soon as they were big/strong enough to sit up they no longer wanted to be squashed into the seat and would fight to get out.
The seats are indestructible and wipe-clean so if you are considering one I would recommend buying second hand off eBay. I spent £50 on my two and looking back it really was a waste of money.

I wish I'd saved my money. There was a very brief time, of maybe 2 weeks!, when my baby would sit in the chair (she flopped around in it when she still needed support when sitting) but then it very quickly became obvious that she hated being in it and would try to escape. Never looked comfortable at all. We even bought the deluxe version with the tray and toy which clip on, but that just meant we wasted even more money on it!
Might be OK for those babies who are happy to be plonked down somewhere and not do anything, but if your baby is inquisitive and likes to play, she'll probably hate it too.

Grr - I wish I hadn't bought this! My lil bub pretended he liked it in the shop then changed his mind when we got home. He looks very cute in it because he's so little and can't sit up yet, BUT: he cries because he's bored after dropping his toys (nowhere/nothing to secure anything to), and arches his back coming alarmingly close to getting out of the seat. He can also swivel around in it so that he hangs over the side. He is nearly 5 months and sized right on the median, so is within the right range to be using the thing. Another very strange effect that no one else has mentioned yet but that I know happens for many others is that it causes explosive poos that go right up baby's back and are a joy to sort out (er, not)!

My daughter was always wanting to do things before she was ready and just didn't like sitting in the Bumbo for more than 5 mins. They also advise you do not put it on a table so to use it as a highchair you would have to really fee on the floor which is not too comfortable. It never worked for me she managed to get out of it by arching her back and could almost topple it over. Only really good for a 2nd child to sit in and watch older siblings I feel, hopefully it will earn it's money with my 2nd.
