Love this chair as it takes up no space in a small kitchen and dd gets to be at the same level as us. Get's grimy though. It has now been discontinued and replaced with a new version with attachments that reach further under the table. So when ours broke we had to buy a replacement from ebay! We took it on hols to discover a glass topped table so it's not necessarily that portable.

First tried a chair like this in a Greek restaurant and found it brilliant.

It has two advantages,

1) It is very poratable

2) Baby is at the table like everybody else and really takes an interest.

Excellent!!! Especially if you haven't got room to store a highchair. I find that the children love being in them as they feel part of the table as they sit up against the table rather than 'away in a highchair' Only downside is they are materiao and need to be washed regularly as they can get quite messy!!! Easy to take out to restaurants and family.

I really liked the idea of this table seat but in practice have only used it twice. The main reason is that it is difficult to fit to tables which are not simply a thick piece of wood on top of some legs. If the table is below a certain thickness, or has any kind of extra bits sticking out underneath, or has legs in funny places, it won't fit. That said, when you *can* use it, it is great. Babies/ children feel very secure in it and it is easy to fit. It's quite heavy and doesn't 'break down' as small as you might expect, so again it's not quite as good as I thought it would be.

Although newer designs have come onto the market, this simple seat that fastens onto the table is still popular: "we've had ours for ages and though it's a bit grimy, it's lasted us through two children and numerous visiting play-mates". It's not particularly comfortable for babies, but toddlers enjoy being at table with the adults and escape is almost impossible!" It's advantage over the strap-onto-the-seat designs is that the child can't topple off the chair - just make sure the seat is securely attached to the table: "we always put a chair underneath, just in case!"
