Tip of the day

Cheap plastic tea sets are much more fun in the bath than expensive bath toys. And they don't get covered in black goo like rubber ducks do, either. Avendesora

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

This book was great as it has 8 different reward charts in it that you can pull out and use, and they are BIG. It worked like a dream to get my daughter toilet trained, and my son eating his vegetables for ONCE! Its great for little kids because there are no words, only art work so you pick the chart that suits. It has toilet training, bedtime, eating, getting dressed, getting ready in the morning, sharing, helping out & tidying up, bathtime and a chart called being good that you can use for anything. It also has lots of great ideas for rewards in the back of the book and hints and tips throughout for each topic.
