This book was recommended to me by my GP, who stated she used with her own kids and described it as her bible!

Very amusing in parts, easy sections to follow. Easy to read and real practical tips for de-escalation of tantrums which i think i found most useful.

Some common sense stuff, but overall it stopped some of the guilty feelings i had about taming my toddler.

Down to earth realistic points of view on looking after toddlers. Thought advice was very good.

Very readable top tips, equip you in advance to deal with naughtiness! Would definitely recommend to a friend!

I haven't used this as much as his first year book - Babies! This book gives sound practical advice, it's good to turn to for behavioural and health queries but not so good for help with potty training.

There was lots of praise for this "sensible," "practical," "realistic" book. "Not perhaps the most PC of books - but its no-nonsense approach helped me!" "It's split into easy reference chapters so you can access advice on particular problems - I've had the book in one hand and a screaming toddler in the other!" Plus there's "lots of advice on behaviour and lots of examples. There were some dissenters: "you simply cannot advocate smacking, however lightly, in this day and age." All appreciated the humour though: "Funny and gripping and good to find that there are worse toddlers than your own! "
