A very helpful book that answers every question. And I mean every question no matter how personal! As good as a best friend and a mum put together and it can be on your shelf to reach for whenever you need advice.

Excellent, helpful and one not to miss despite the expense.

this was dead useful during pregnancy, and i used it as a reference book continuously. i found bits of it irritating too though. i would have it alongside other books, but not as the only one! i liked its month by month layout, and got excited to read a new section each month that passed.

"Good month by month information on body changes, foetal developmental and health issues etc." "I devoured this when I was a first time mum (and the mumsnet books hadn't been written)." "Written in Q and A style, it's great for the anxious first timer worried about every twinge, with lots of pretty prescriptive advice on what to eat, do etc." "It also talks you through breastfeeding and things to expect after the baby is born." "Make sure you get the UK version, I was given the US one and it's got quite a few subtle but irritating differences."
