Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

Don't be put off by the name! I really wanted a Stokke but found this in an Ebay shop at a third of the price (£50). It is just as attractive as the more expensive models and has all the advantages of adjustability, encouraging correct sitting position, socialisation of child at table etc. with the advantage of a tray that you can use or rotate behind if you want the child to sit at the table. I highly recommend this highchair if you like Stokke but are on a budget. I think it is only available through Ebay...
