Quote of the week

David Cameron on whether The Thick of It accurately represents the Conservative publicity machine: "I love The Thick of It. V funny... but only true about the other lot (not)."

Recipe of the week

Great high chair that will not wobble or break. Will also not move when you trip over it.

Really, really glad we got this chair. Returned a different chair for reasons of safety and then bought this one. Baby can't rock it whilst sitting in it. It's good and solid. Baby (who is at the climbing and pulling stage) can't pull it over on herself even by bouncing up and down whilst clinging onto the back. It slides right up under the table so she eats with us (though you have to watch what it in reach!). It's sleek and compact and you can adjust this to fit baby perfectly as she grows. Even husband agrees that the cost was worth it (and we are not rich people!).

This is a really good-looking and comfortable piece of furniture, it sits at the table alongside our other chairs and it allows the child to join in properly at mealtimes, eating at the table rather than sitting in an isolated 'pod'. It's expensive but is still in daily use 3.5 years along and I'm sure it will be used until my son is at least 7 or 8. He happily uses it for sitting at the table to draw, paint, glue etc. and sees it as 'his chair' rather than a high chair. The stripey cushions are lovely for little ones but we haven't used ours for ages.

So nice to have the baby/toddler at the table with you rather than have a tray get in the way. Looks nice rather than a great big plastic thing and also lasts for a long time.

Recently had a load of friends over for dinner and I ran out of chairs, was able to use the TT for me to sit on and was actually very comfortable!
