David Cameron on whether The Thick of It accurately represents the Conservative publicity machine: "I love The Thick of It. V funny... but only true about the other lot (not)."

We bought a Tripp Trapp for our daughter when she was around 20 months as we thought it might encourage her to eat better if she sat up to the table with us. It was relatively expensive but it certainly seems to have helped on this front and will hopefully last for years (a friend's 12 year old is still using his, although now as a computer chair). It also looks good and, although it doesn't fold down, it tucks well away under the table when not in use. Our main concerns are in respect of safety: the foot board encourages our daughter to try and climb up onto and down from the chair herself and she has twice nearly fallen. This was a particular problem when she was smaller and (in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions of ensuring the child sits with a 90 degree angle behind its knees) the footboard was still high off from the floor. The answer of course is to buy a form of restraint at extra cost. I also have some concerns about our daughter's ability to lever herself away from the table. On our parquet flooring, the chair simply slides back from the table, but on the terrasse (flagstones) it starts to tip backwards. I'm no physicist and I'm not sure whether it actually would flip over backwards, but it's enough to make my heart leap to my throat!

it's simply the best high chair: your children are eating straight from the family dinner table like you, it is totally adjustable, fantastic for their posture, lasts all their lives and looks great.

Fabulous high chair which grows with your child. Easy to clean and allows your baby/child to be part of mealtimes. Much more stylish than hideous plastic ones. Only downside is that it is not great for small babies, not enough support.

good for being fully involved with mealtimes but don't bother with the cushions - they are only aesthetic!
