David Cameron on whether The Thick of It accurately represents the Conservative publicity machine: "I love The Thick of It. V funny... but only true about the other lot (not)."

Great chair that is still used daily, even though ds is now 7. Even dh and I like to use - so it pays off the initial investment. The ability to sit at the table meant that the baby was fully involved in family meals from the start.

Looks lovely, lasts for years. A proper piece of furniture that actually fits around the table with our chairs. Just wish I'd bought one of these first time around instead of a horrid plastic eyesore that cost almost as much and I couldn't wait to get rid of!

Excellent chair. I hope my son will use this until he leaves home! I have only used it for a toddler, rather than a baby, but my son is so much happier in this chair, rather than on his knees in a regular chair. He is much more likely to sit and eat (or read, or do arts and crafts) in this chair than an adult chair. The only problem is my table, which due to its design, means that my son's legs are rather stuck between the chair and the table. But that is not a design fault of the chair. I would highly recommend it!!

I was very keen to get my son the 'best' highchair to promote good posture and was taken with the promotional blurb from stokke. It has not really worked out for us, as we have a circular dining table, so he cant reach much of the table - as we are doing baby led weaning and encouraging finger food this posed a big problem. The chair looks very cool and i love the stripey seat cover, but it just doesnt suit our needs. Also, a major design flaw is that you have to take the chair apart with an allen key to remove the seat cover to wash it. I have now bought a not so stylish fisherprice healthy thingy chair, which although garish is very useful and has made meal times much more enjoyable.

If you enjoy diy and have a rectangular table, then go for it, but otherwise - beware - you may end up buying a different one and feeling a tad foolish!

Stokke Tripp Trapp is brillant. Both my DC have one. But I didn't find it worked as well when my DS wanted to be spoon-fed. But now, both DC sit comfortably at the table and enjoy the meal.
