This is a very stylish looking highchair, it's available in several different finishes, so will go with your wooden dining table set beautifully.

The biggest advantage is that the chair cannot be tipped over by a toddler (much as my friends child tried). The chair though can be easily monoevered over a carpetted floor, so my 18 month old is now using our stokke as a baby ladder, she slides it over to the window to climb onto the window frame, this has undoubtedly added to my white hairs.

The biggest drawback is the chair is expensive, and you have to buy additional bits for it; like the baby set (which a lot of people consider unnecessary), and a little padded seat and backcover seperately. I bought the whole lot, but the padded seat cover, is very fiddly to put on and take off, and it does need to be washed fairly often, as the seat is being used for a toddler.

Theoretically the chair can be used well into adulthood, I can see ours will be in the family at least till the last child has grown up. We'll obviously have to decorate the dining room according to the finish of the stokke though (it's redwood incase you were wondering). On the upside, the chair does seem to have a very good resale value, so one doesn't lose that much by buying all the little bits.

On the whole, the chair encourages good posture (according to the blurb on the stokke website), and encourages good muscular developement (according to my observations of dd2, who has been pushing her chair around the dining room for the last 9 months). A good buy if you have a spacious dining room/kitchen as the chair does not fold down.

Good looking highchair, very easy to keep clean. The best thing about it is that the baby/child can sit at the table with the family. It also lasts for years as it adapts as the child grows.

I love this highchair as it just fits in at the table and my son is part of every family mealtime. It looks really good too and when stored at the table, doesn't take up any more room than a normal adult chair. Everyone comments on it as it looks so good too.

Looks stylish and modern, and is more sleek and sophisticated than the nasty plastic chairs that abound on the market. Because the chair is a simple design, with mimimal corners and sections, it makes cleaning it a doddle. Can be used up to adulthood, so is worth the extra money. Our baby sits with us at mealtimes making it more enjoyable for him and for us. He also has support for his feet makin git more comfortable for him. It would be nice to have a detachable tray as an option. Also the padding is pretty but I cover it with tea towels at mealtimes as I know it would be difficult to remove food stains, eg tomato sauce, spinach, from it.
