This is one of my most popular products for new Mums and babies, particularly at this time of year. If you'd like to have a look at my photos, you can see them at www.herrickphoto.co.uk

This is a great gift but go with a local photographer, some of the national chains are awful and a complete rip off. Also, make sure it has a long expiry date, a new mum might not feel like having her photo taken for several months after the birth!

We got a photo voucher and it was a fantastic present as we couldnt afford professional photos and we got a lovely one. Only thing is get a voucher for an actual local photographer. We got an 'experience' voucher with a national phone number to ring and it was awkward to arrange.

I got some photography vouchers from Blush Photography in Chichester, West Sussex. They were such a good idea as we had not had a family photograph in a long time. Blush Photography did and amazing job and captured the childrens spirit peferctly. We had them taken in their studio which was state of the art and very impressive. I have just given Blush Photography vouchers to my sister in London who is excited about using them.

Fabulous gift provided you get vouchers direct from the photographer and not from an intermediary like those packs you get in Debenhams. Also avoid companies where the new parent will get the hard sell into splashing out hundreds of pounds on framed photos.
