Most of these magazines are pretty dull. I got bored of baby magazines once mine were born, i'd lost interest in sleb gossip and didn't care about fashion or home furnishings.

I did like to read the magazine Juno though.

A great, thoughtful, long lasting gift. Another bonus is you can use tesco vouchers to buy them!

Makes a nice change from the 'usual' new baby presents and also something to look foward to each month especially when it is not so easy to get out to the shops with new baby!!!

A magazine subscription is a good gift at any time but can be ideal for new parents. You can choose one that appeals to them personally or pick a 'baby' title, such as Mother & Baby (the one that I received). New parents may not have the money to treat themselves to something so non-essential as a magazine or the time to browse the shelves & chooose one! Plus the gift carries on giving - the new parent gets a little pressie every month for as long as you take out the subscription.

"This is a great gift because it isn't baby-focussed! It's a treat for the mum once a month to read in the bath or during a quiet moment when the new baby's asleep." "Someone bought me a subscription to Vogue which was fabulous after months of frumpy maternity clothes. I think you can feel a bit 'out of touch' after the birth of a new baby, so this was a great gift." "It took me months to get through a novel after giving birth. I found magazines much more manageable!"
