gift voucher is an excellent way to provide a present but you don't have to worry about a double gift or your choice not being that of the parents choice. Give them in small amounts as often you have to use the full amount in one go . ALso check that the parent has easy access to the stores if you are not from the same area

Gift vouchers make the ideal gift, new babies always receive loads of new newborn and 0-3 month clothes, by giving gift vouchers the parents can buy new clothes as the child needs them as they grow.

Asda/George gift vouchers are the best! Not only can you redeem them on a selection of clothing but they do sell baby equipment (i.e expressing unit, high chair, child seat) usually chepaer than other stores (i.e Mothercare etc). You really can't go wrong with them - they are so flexible to buy a wide range of things.

John Lewis gift vouchers are great as they can be used for baby, mum, dad, household and even food from waitrose, they are my favourite.
