As I lost a lot of blood during the birth of my son, I became Iron deficient. So really the enormous box of choccies were, well medicinal really. We all know chocolate is a good source of iron now don't we.

Chocolate is a fantastic gift, I recieved three boxes of chocolate after arrival of ds (I am known to be very fond of choccies) by far the best were Thorntons Continental selection, these are mostly pralines and not a strawberry cream in sight. Beware though, small children will gobble them all given half a chance.

Chocolate is a great gift. Not least because when I had just given birth I was ravenous and exhausted. I am convinced that the amount of chocolate I ate enabled me to cope with night feeds, constant laundry, continuous crying etc. Am now pregnant with number 2 and am looking forward to the gluttony already...

I sent my sister in law a new baby box set from Thorntons recently. It had lots of yummy treats and also a little hat and bib for new nephew Henry. I think they appreciated the choccies. I will definitely send chocolates again if someone I know has a baby :)

An ideal present for a breastfeeding mum who needs the calories and for a stressed out dad who needs some comfort food.
