Tip of the day

Don't get in a panic over Christmas. Keep a box and put a little in it every week - small gifts, wine, nibbles, napkins etc. This way, you'll be more relaxed and less skint in December! keriku

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

We have used Tesco own brand Superfit nappies since Jan 2006 since my son was born. They were by far the best nappy on the market, better than Pampers or Huggies. Now 3 years old my son was still using them up until Sept 2009 when we ran out. This coincided with Tesco having recently changed the design. They are now much thinner, and less absorbant. What a nightnmare! Haven't had a good night's sleep since as my son now wakes up reularly in a wet patch crying to be changed. Tesco's have thought about the £££ instead of their customer's. I'm also wondering who on earth approved this change...obviously not anyone with children of nappy wearing age. Also were they tested properly on real children?? I think not. Message to all those considering buying them......... don't waste your hard earned cash. Any good reviews of this product refer to the old design pre Sept 2009. Don't buy them now, they're rubbish!

I couldn't wait to buy these after living in a country where I could only buy pampers but was dissapointed to find they didn't come high enough up the back to contain my daughter's explosive poos! Other then that I found them fine. Might try them again when she's older and everythings a bit more solid!

Yep. These are the best - and a bargin to boot. My daughter has leaked quite badly through Pampers a couple of times (Bad Mother!) and this has never happened with the Tesco brand. I hate to cheer Tesco a lot but in this case... RAH!
