Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

Love, love, love it! Have had one from America for years, but just bought a new one as they are now in the UK and I have two babies that will be close enough together so that one is still in the one that his brother used first while our new daughter will need one of her own. They are absolutely so fantastic for breast feeding and make co-sleeping very safe-the cots are like an extension to your bed, but babies can't be rolled on or caught up in your duvet. They can also stand alone and fold up for travel and also convert to a play pen. They are amazing value as you don't have to buy a lot of different products and they come with a mattress and one sheet and a liner that acts as a bumper. For what it replaces and how long you can use it (I move my kids out at about 2 1/2 - 3 years straight into a proper bed) I don't think there is any product that can compare value wise and function wise!
