I've had this book for years now and it's never let me down. It's got a great range of cakes and treats and the recipes are easy to follow and most ingredients are readily available at supermarkets. With a section devoted to baking for children, you really can't go wrong. We love the lemon yoghurt cake in the 'healthy' section!Highly recommended!

I never baked before a friend gave me this book. Its brilliant, everything seems to work. I was scared of baking before, especially as my cooker is about 25 years old and pretty rubbish but these recipes are brilliant.

There's everything from children's cakes and biscuits to dinner party puds! I'd rather bake for my kids and know exactly what's it their treaty foods! My husband and his work colleagues thinks they're fab too!! (I have to give him a load to eat so that I don't pig out myself!!)

This is the only baking/cake book you'll ever need.

This book has got me through cake stalls, Christmas, tea for my Granny, cakes for people to take to sea, cakes to get rid of brown bananas, cakes to bake on a wet afternoon, and they all work beautifully. I can recommend the Lemon Drizzle loaf, all the tray bakes, the Malt loaf (disappears fast) and the banana and honey tea bread.

The instructions are clear and simple, and my copy is sploshed with ingredients and beginning to fall to bits. It's a fab book, and the recipes work, and taste great.

My partner makes the sweets in our house, and he says this is damn fine. It has a section on cakes for children to make, as well as healthy cakes, some of which are sugar free.
