I have used this with older kids (not my own, but a friends!) and they really enjoyed it! and i've made stuff/adapted stuff for my family and toddler which goes down just as well.

A little on the basic side if you are a keen cook, but if you want to learn how to use various key store-cupboard ingredients, and find out why various items are prepared in certain ways, this is a useful combination of factbook & recipe book. Lots of nice, simple, favourite family recipes like drop scones. Would be great to use with older children & young teens to get them started in the kitchen.
