I bought this from a fellow mumsnetter at a greatly reduced price so as far as I am concerned it was great value for money! I found it very easy to use with a quiet pump which was extremely effective at achieving a fast letdown. The pump speed and suction is adjustable for comfort which is a great plus point, although I never managed to actually use it hands free. It is a bit bulky to carry around, but the fact that it comes with a cool bag to store expressed milk is a great bonus. I would definitely recommend this breast pump to others.

After buying this (because I have a premature baby in hospital and would be pumping around the clock), I found I ended up returning to my Avent Isis, which was easier to use and produced more milk. I was told the 'Pump-in-Style' was as good as a hospital breast pump but this is not the case. It was harder to achieve let-down, and the breast shield was fiddly to assemble and sterilize. The 'hands-free' thing didn't work for me either; even after buying a special bra I still needed to hold the breast shield in place most of the time. And you are still plugged in. At under half the price, the Avent Isis did a better job for me.

Users liked the fact that you can "adjust the vacuum and speed for comfort". One user used it "hands-free, sitting at a table", others said they needed both hands and moaned "it sounds rather whiny like the other electric Medela". "Easy to clean and use", it comes with an optional battery pack/car adapter "which is more useful than you'd think" plus the bag can be used to store milk. One user raved "this is the only pump I could get any milk out with". "Expensive" but "the time is saves means it's well worth the money".
