A total waste of good reading time.

Shaky plots and odd characters who are completely unlikeable.

Rubbish.

The story revolves around Pippa who is married to an aging publisher called Herb. As the story opens they are moving to a bland retirement home in a bland retirement village. To all outward appearances Pippa is the perfect wife and mother, dutiful and loving.

As the story unfolds we learn of an entirely different Pippa who ran away from home at an early age and led a rather strange, degenerate existance involving various sordid, stomach-churning sexual encounters. The character transformation is frankly not credible and nor are the chain of events leading up to the final denouement of the story.

A tasteless, unbelievable story filled with strange, creepy characters. Yuk.
