Former highflyer Finn, at 45, moves to an English village for a change of pace and gets caught up in the not-quite-legal moneymaking scheme of the local old folks.

Charming romantic comedy for the lady who tires of the franticly foolish heroines of your usual chicklit. There are simple messages about the human condition that lift it above the norm and make it a more than usually satisfying read. It's entertaining and uplifting, but most of the time it's pure fun.

And of course makes a great little gift for mums of all ages.
