An elderly man is put on trial for war crimes. In a tangle of love and betrayal, around a group of people smuggling Jewish children out of Nazi occupied Paris, identities are shed and assumed. Fifty years later, descendants of those involved have to come to terms with how the past comes back to change their lives. A throught-provoking tear jerker.
