My best book ever! So evocative, I could smell the flowers in the gardens, and hear the sea at Manderley. I just wanted to be there, and explore those gardens for myself, then walk down to the sea and have a nose around Rebecca's beach house.

Absolutely! Wonderfully written, and refreshing after too much modern day media/texting/slang and over the top attempts to thrill.

Fantastic - it has everything. It's a mystery, thriller, love story and social history all rolled into one. This dark and brooding story grips you from the (very famous) opening line and holds you to the surprising end.
