Dubious at first, because of the size of the book, I can honestly say that this is the best book i have ever read (and I LOVE books!)

It's a book about about the history of London, through the eyes of fictional families living through real events. A weird concept, but it really works and it's unputdownable!

Full of suspense, passion, war, famine, adventure and sadness. It really is a fab book with believable characters and it's easy to digest. It covers the Romans, the Fire of London and the Victorians and it's a great insight into life through the ages!

Give it a go - it's a meaty, but worthwhile read!
