I will never get bored of re-reading this book. A mixture of wit, romance, period drama, etiquette, suspense... It has endured well over time and has captured the hearts of many (displayed be the fact the BBC keep remaking television drama based on it every few years). It transports you back to the era where you can drift into another reality and forget the world outside. I think I'll go and get a cup of tea and sit and have a read of it again.

I adore this book, it is the best ever. I have read it a million times and it is like an old friend. I always pick it up up if I feel fed up and it never fails to put a smile on my face. Lizzie is an amazing character with intelligence, wit and a great sense of fun, definitely one of the best female characters written. The love story unfolding gets me every time and I can't wait to get to the part where they finally reveal their feelings to each other. Writing this has made me want to read it right now. I cannot recommend this book highly enough - everyone should read it. I also love the BBC adaptation but nothing beats the book.
