Brillant sling very comfortable. I have a large baby and do a lot of dog walking and it has been invaluable. Can carry baby for three hours without difficulty. Owned two previous slings that were cheaper but useless. Very expensive but purchased from ebay good value.

I loved this carrier. My little boy is pretty chunky but I could, and did, carry him for hours at a time without any back pain. You do need to set the carrier high and snug on your body to get the benefit of the back support, but having done that it works perfectly. Putting the baby in is child's play, you can do it single-handed anywhere. I added the Baby Bjorn fleece cover to it and the combination worked very well - even in downpours he stayed warm and dry, and it was also great for catching kicked-off bootees.

The one drawback is that after about nine months the carrier is going to be too small to be comfortable for the baby unless you adjust it to have him lower down your body, and then it will be too uncomfortable for you. If only they did a toddler version. But, all in all, I think at about seventy-five pounds it was very good value, especially as it meant we didn't need a pram or a pushchair.

My son hated going in this, and cried every time I tried. I didn't like it either, I found it restrictive and uncomfortable to wear. My biggest gripe with it is the lack of head support; it says it has head support, but for a newborn, it was rubbish; Samuel's head banged about all over the place in it. I took mine back after 2 weeks and got a refund.

This was the best money spent on equipment for my baby. we have two energetic dogs, and this has been a brilliant way of getting out and about with them. My baby has loved being in it from the minimum weight (8lb) and now faces out most of the time and kicks her legs and coos excitedly weh we walk. It gives excellent back support, and my husband enjoys wearing it too, which i'm not sure he would with a more traditional sling!

It is expensive, but when you compare it to the price of a buggy, it suddenly looks ridiculously cheap!

It washes well and feels really secure and comfortable fo rme and the baby.

As I have a bad back, I wanted a babysling with good back support and only two seem to offer this; the Baby Bjorn active, and the Bushbaby cocoon. I couldn't find anywhere local selling the Bushbaby, so after trying the Baby Bjorn active in a nearby shop, bought that (not to be confused with Baby Bjorn Classic, which doesn't have good back support).

It's been great - my second son is very colickey, and even though we never used a sling with baby no 1, we needed one for baby no 2. Holding baby no 2 all the time was preventing me from looking after our older son, who is only 20 months and so needs some attention. We've had baby no 2 in the sling at least an hour or two a day, and it's a great way of calming his crying and keeping him upright when around the house. He seems to like the fact it holds him snuggly (the adjustment for different sized babies is great) and I have found it easy to take on and off alone (essential for me). I can either lift him in and out, or take off the whole of the baby part - useful if he's fallen asleep.

He does get quite warm in it after an hour - and so it's a challenge to have him dressed suitably - enough to be warm to start with, but not so much he overheats after being in there for a while.

The back support is good too - it does spread some of the weight to the waist band, rather than keeping it all the shoulders. I found all the other slings and ties that I tried distributed baby's weight unevenly, or put too much strain on my back - the active has been great so far (though my son is still little, and not yet very heavy). It is adjustable - so my husband (who is much bigger than me) can also take the baby as well as me - although it does take a bit of time and effort to change the straps, and we tend to keep it on the right size settings for me.

My one gripe is the cost - I paid 65 pounds new - some 20 quid more than most other carriers, and with less "features" - so I have rated it low on value for money. But I wouldn't be without it for helping to calm a crying baby.
