This is a wonderful coat and a must-have item for dedicated babywearers. I had two children in slings before I decided to get one of these coats with my third. If I had bought it in the first place I would really have got my moneys worth. It seems very expensive but it's money well spent. I got mine while pregnant and use the extra panel at the front to go over my growing bump. I took the fleece insert out and used just the raincoat part most of the time over my usual clothes. I love the zip away hood for me. I love the zip away hood for baby on the front and the back. I love the hidden zip pocket on the breast (perfect for keeping my Oyster card and my Slingview mirror in). I get wonderful smiles whenever I where it and frequently have people running up to me in the street to ask where I got it. Baby is always snugly and warm and dry. Using the back for babywearing is a little more difficult and I need some help getting the coat on and off and you do end up looking like a bit of a hunchback with two heads! But it's all in the name of babywearing. I've worn my coat every day for over 18 months and I can't fault it.

If you've got the skills, you could do this yourself. If (like me!) you lack both the skills and the time but babywear a lot, then this coat is great. I've used it for back carries, front carries, back carries whilst very pregnant and even for carrying 2 children together. It's warm, waterproof, and quicker than putting on 3 separate coats! Especially useful in winter or wet weather, I can let my LO fall asleep in the sling at home when she is tired, then when we need to go out just chuck the coat over without disturbing her - no waking her up to put on her snowsuit, put on my coat, then struggle to get her back into the sling now we both have extra layers on.

I debated for ages before getting this coat, thinking it would be a gimmick I would hardly use; I have ended up using it almost every day since I got it a year ago and even babywear more because I have it - everything is just so much easier!

Brilliant once ds stopped waving his arms around and decided to co-operate when putting it on!!

Currently in use with ds who is 2.3 years. In hindsight, I should have bought one of these when pregnant as it does from bump until baby is too big to carry and then afterwards can be used as a normal coat.
