I have 5 kids and have used numerous slings over the last 17 years and this one is by far the winner. My youngest is three and I still use it. I have a friend who is left handed and she just used it turned the other way over her left shoulder and she never found it awkward :)

it's the only sling I've tried but it's not as confy as a front carrier in my opinion. Moreover it takes up loads of space becaus eof the padding, it's light though.

What I like is the hip-mode of carrying the child.

Great for taking the baby around if you want him to go to sleep and stay asleep. And great for shopping trips where he is not likely to stay in the stroller. But it makes your top mid-back and shoulder ache if you use it too much. Also you can't get a sleeping baby into it without waking him up. And when he is awake, he might not be that happy unless you get him in the perfect position.

Seems really comfy for newborns-they can snuggle up nicely.

One gripe-it seems really designed for right handers and quite hard for left handers to use-not great if you have one of each in the family.

A sling to wear around your body rather than upfront. It's quite bulky but easy to put on and ease the baby into. We used it on holiday when DS was 8 weeks and he slept around many a happy walk and than sat up a bit more when we were looking around the town. You get a few looks for having one - a bit more hippy than your standard baby bjorn. I haven't used it that much. I don't feel it gives great support as it just creates a sort of hammock but it is great for getting on with your life again when a baby needs to go everywhere with you.
