I don't own one of these carriers, but I was lent one when my other sling was in the wash. I must admit to not liking this one at all.

Complicated and fiddly to use and my baby didn't feel close to me as she does in my other sling.

I wouldn't recommend this.

Fandabbydosy.

We have been using the cocoon for 4 months now. I wear it every day, its designed to carry the weight on my hips which it does do. if the weight is on your shoulders like iv noticed someone noted i dont think you have read the insturctions correctly on how to adjust it to fit, im 5"2 and my other half is 6"2 and it fits us both prefect,we are now using it with our daughter facing outwards (you can use it inward facing or outward). The cocoon has more features than any of the others we tryed and the raincover comes in really handy if you get caught short like we recently did. The harness couldnt be easyier to use, you put it on like a waist coat and adjust the back length by pulling or loosening the 2 adjusters down your back while not having to hold my daughter like the others we used. then comes loading our daughter, the pod clips onto your front with 3 clips the first one simply drops into the waist belt and the 2 tops click in.

The child pod couldnt be easyier to use, as its seperate from the harness you dont have to hold her while trying to fiddle about putting the harness on myself. we have recomended this to all our friends and are so impressed with the quality.

Hope this helps. Kate

I am disappointed in this product. I have hardly used it as it is very uncomfortable, even though my dd is not a big baby.

The straps are difficult to adjust, the waist belt digs into my ribs and the weight is all on my shoulders which is painful for using for any length of time, I have managed to walk 100m up the street and couldn't make it to the shops that are 5 mins away. It did not fit my husband either it seemed too small for us even with adjusting and no we are not overweight I mean lengthwise.

It is a bit of a faff getting it on, I did it by laying dd in the pouch on the sofa, then lifting her onto the waist connector, then clicking on the shoulder straps that are secure but stiff to use.

Taking her out was a nightmare while dd was asleep. I ended up on the floor lying over her in hysterical giggles as I couldn't work the clips to get her off and ended up waking her up, yes I'm useless but its not designed for ease of use imo.

As it is only for facing inward dd is constantly straining to look out under my armpit. For me it was alot of money for very little use. I will be selling this on to someone who can get it to fit them which from the other reviews I'm sure it does from the other reviews.

Great all round carrier - with DH at 6'4" and me 5'5" finding one which fitted and was easily adjusted for us both was an issue but this is great. Had Tomy Safari for DD1 and it doesn't even come close. Have tried slings this time too and although good around the house for any long trek (even just around the shops) this is better - cooler and seems to give LO's more movement and air.

Bought this because my friend recommended it.I have had back problems when using the baby bjorn. I am so pleased with it , and have been using it constantly for my second child Freya. I love the way you can take off the baby pod when she goes to sleep - I get the chance to stack the dishwasher in peace!
