I started using our Ergo when DS was 5 months old and I LOVE it! It really made life a lot easier while we were travelling to see relatives and running through airports with him a couple of months ago. It's very well made and is as comfortable as any other sling I've tried. It's also easy to get on and off yourself (though I've only used it in the front position so far). DS is now 7 months old and I still use it nearly every day while out and about. It's a great sling to use after your baby has got a bit big and heavy for a stretchy cloth sling. DH also likes to wear the Ergo as it doesn't look too girly! :) Would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a hard wearing, practical and well made sling. The hood is also a great feature if it's windy/rainy/sunny. Only downside is probably the price - quite expensive, though I got mine in a sale! :)

I bought my Ergo after trying I think 4-5 other types... Wilkinet, Huggababy, BabyBjorn, MaiTai and something else I can't remember the name of!

My DS was around 1 and still loving being carried, and I was still loving not having to engage in buggy rage trying to use the scarce lifts in the local shopping centre.

The carrier's brilliant. It did take a bit of practice with teddy to get the hang of using it on the back, but once we were both used to it - peasy! I would suggest a piggy back and the wee one would leap on, away we go...

It's continued to be useful as he's grown and toddled. Kept him happy and me hands free when he's been ill and clingy. Once he was willing and able to walk distances, but not quite - it was invaluable! Packs away easily into a bag. Washes well. Spreads the weight of a 3 year old effortlessly.

I'm keeping mine in case I ever pop out another! [wink]

I bought an Ergo Baby when my son was already a year old, as he was too heavy for our first sling, and I could see a day coming when he would be able to walk, but not far, and who wants to take an unneeded pushchair around everywhere?

I am using the sling now to walk to the park with him, so that he and I are both free to roam over the grass. Also, with the sling, I can get our local bus, which often refuses to take us with the pushchair.

My son now tops 11kg, and it is still comfortable to carry him on my front. When he gets a bit taller, I will wear him on my back.

The sling has a very handy zip pocket, and the material is robust. I'm very pleased with it.

I am surprised this rating is as low as it is. I am a massive fan of Ergo Baby Carrier. With the straps across the hips it means that the weight of baby is not just across shoulders and back. I find it really comfortable and although it took a few goes to get the hang of, it is so simple to use now. I would recommend to anyone!
