I bought this for use with my son when he was around a year and a half old, but in all honesty I don't like it. He was a year when I got it, but rather heavy, and because of the height/weight ratio it never sat comfortably on my hip. I had trouble supporting him, and every time he moved it felt like he'd come off it.

He didn't seem overly comfortable either, and fidgeted more than normal. I've taken this out on a few trips but given that you still also have to have your arm around your child I honestly don't see the point.

I bought this sling after falling in love with it on the internet - the only downside I could see on the website was the fact there was a huge choice of colours! My husband (who still is unaware of the full price of it!) suggested a neutral one, so I of course opted for the lovely rose and cream :)

I opened it straight away when it arrived, and put the dvd(!) on, and it was surprisingly simply to achieve the first position (a tummy to tummy one, perfect for my newborn). I've attempted all the other positions successfully too, bar the breastfeeding one which I just haven't needed to.

It's incredibly comfortable, I had slightly aching shoulders after carrying my daughter for a whole day. She's content in it too, the only reason I haven't rated it higher for her is because it is a tiny bit restricting, as all slings are, and sometimes she'd like to stretch a bit more.

I think it's great value for money, but I do think it's expensive at around ?50 (for a long bit of cloth and a dvd! ) Hubby too thinks its expensive and he has no idea of the real cost lol. I consider it good value for money as it does everything I wanted it to.

A brilliant buy.

By far the best thing I bought before my daughter was born. It is quite expensive for what is, essentially, a long piece of cotton, but worth it just for the amount of use it gets. Love the range of colours too - far wider than similar slings on the market. Tying does take quite a bit of practice but the instructional dvd is well thought out and helpful.

Loved it! When my daughter was 1-2 months, it was very hard to get her to sleep in the pram during day time. The Hug-a-Bub did the job nicely, and I managed to have my hands really free. The weight is very nicely distributed, and my baby was really happy in it. I loved it for my summer walks (in London), and when travelling.

It might seem extravagant to pay ?50 for what is essentially a very long strip of t-shirt material, but what you get is an extremely comfy mode of transport for your baby.

You get a dvd with the sling which explains how to tie it. If I (Mrs Butterfingers) can manage to do it with relative (and increasing) ease then anyone can!

The baby is held close to the body in a way that reminds me of being pregnant. DS almost always falls asleep while he's in it. His head is supported, and feels secure even when I bend over. I've found it really comfy to wear for hours, and it's been essential equipment for looking after a toddler and a newborn.

The dvd shows how you can adapt it for a growing baby/child. It even shows a breastfeeding position, but I didn't master this (DS is a HUGE baby, and I couldn't align him with my boobs). We've also used it with DD (21 months) and it's comfy with her too.

On a frivolous note, it also comes in lovely colours :-)
