Tip of the day

Don't get in a panic over Christmas. Keep a box and put a little in it every week - small gifts, wine, nibbles, napkins etc. This way, you'll be more relaxed and less skint in December! keriku

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

I love this sling. When my baby was newborn I travelled everywhere with this, and she was always calm and happy inside it. Padding on the shoulder is very comfortable. I tried a Baby Bjorn but it put strain on my lower back, and this sling doesn't. I wouldn't be without it.

This sling was a life-saver for me. It is so easy to use, comfy for babies and mums. The shoulder pad prevents the fabric from bunching and spreads the weight, so no shoulder pain. It is easy to alter size and position even when the baby is in the sling. Perfect for breastfeeding on the move.

I am 5 foot nothing and size 10 and have found this sling the best thing ever!

Used it for my dd1 until she was 2 years old. Now using for dd1 (9 months). So well loved I had to sew a patch on it recently. Easy to use around the house so you can hoover, cook etc. Good to put under the buggy when you're out.

Once you get the hang of it, it's really quick to slip on and shove baby in. Never had any back or neck problems - unlike front loading slings and back packs. Would thoroughly recommend, best thing we had bought for us and well worth the money!

My baby really likes this one now he is older and supporting himself - it's a very comfortable and sociable sling for him. Good for short trips but not good on the bus when two hands are needed. I slipped and fell backwards in this sling with no harm done, but I felt that he would have fallen out if I had gone forwards. The "correct" way to wear this sling with the strap on the shoulder and not around the neck means that the opposite arm has restricted movement.

Easy to get in and out of - I use this to carry him around for a bit when I arrive somewhere, but would not attempt a long trip or public transport.

I like this sling; find it quicker to put on that our Babybjorn and lots of people even stop me on the street to say how nice it looks! I wore it a lot round the house when our daughter was newborn and still use it to go shopping a lot at 6 months
