I used my pikkolo with my daughter from birth, she always slept well being carried and it was brilliant for shopping trips as well as doing housework (mowing the lawn & hoovering - she hated unless being held!). She is now 10mths and still enjoys being carried in it, she is happy forward facing, or facing me, or even on my hip - I havent been brave enough to try and get her on my back yet.

It is very comfy to wear her in the baby carrier and suitable for little babies from birth, to large wriggly ones!

I would recommend the catbird baby pikkolo to everyone and anyone with a baby.. the best baby equipment I had!! I used it more than my pram for the first 3mths of her life!

I would also like to add that my other half also loves it, and really enjoys carrying her around. We got a fairly neutral colour and he loves it too!

Both I and my baby love this baby carrier. I am what you might call rather buxom and found that other slings didn't sit too well (the Baby Bjorn for example sat far too high). The Pikkolo rests on my hips, with most of the weight of baby being carried here so it's really comfortable to wear. The other great thing is that a new born can sit 'frog-like' in the carrier - their legs don't have to stick out the sides - and for my little one this is ideal. The carrier can be used on the front (forward and backward facing), back and hip. It's really easy to put on with buckles that can be adjusted to change the position of the carrier. It also comes with a cover to go over baby's head.

So easy to use. Unlike many carriers it puts lots of the baby's weight on your hips. But unlike the Ergo carrier( which has a similar feel) you can use a drawstring to make the seat smaller so a newborn can use it immediately without the need for an insert.

Baby loves it. Great alternative to the Ergo.
