I love my Cuddie ring sling. I class it as a baby essential. Once I got used to it it was very easy to use and easy to change the baby's position - much better than a baby carrier (and I have experience of three kinds of these). I got it when my daughter was 2 months old and I have used it more or less every day since. I forgot it once and really missed it - I wear it like a miss world sash all the time. I have to go down and up several steps to get onto the road - a real pain with a pushchair. I can put her in the sling and carry the pushchair or my shopping on the way home. In the supermarket if she starts getting grouchy I can put her in the sling and she usually settles quickly. Before she could stand it was handy for popping into the local shops, going to the loo etc etc. Now she is just walking I can pop her in when her legs get tired. Great!

It is not padded so it is very light weight and cool in summer but it would probably be better to have a padded one if you wanted to use it constantly all day. Having said that I can quite happily wear it for an hour without a problem - I would say that if it hurts within 10 mins or so you haven't got it adjusted correctly and need to play around a bit - or check the internet for a wealth of videos/instructions etc.
